Such things will always happen and even the seasoned guys make mistakes. However, It is not the end of world If you’ve deleted photos from memory card. There is a BIG chance that you’ll recover all those photos from the card again almost effortlessly. This is because those photos are not yet completely wiped out off your card.

I’ve wrote a step by step guide to help people understand how to recover deleted photos from memory cards. Recovering photos from memory card is not a miracle. When you delete photos off your card, the photos are not deleted (and you won’t be see them on the card either) but that spaced is marked as “free space”. Once you take new photos on the camera, those new photos might get written on that “free space” and thus overwriting the old file.

Therefore,  you are advised to stop using the memory card any further once you discover that you need to recover deleted photos off it. If you continue using your memory card, the chances of recovering deleted photos will lessen. Therefore, please stop using the card immediately and follow these steps to recover deleted photos from memory card:

1. First of all, please Download This Data Recovery Software and follow the installation wizard to install it in your computer. It shouldn’t take more than a minute to install this software. The only way to read the memory card in your computer is using a Card Reader. Therefore, you’ll need to insert the memory card in a card reader device and then attach that device to your computer. This way, your card will show as a Mounted Volume as shown below. Then you can select the card just as you select a partition of your hard disk.

If the memory card is not showing in the “Mounted Volume” panel, please make sure that you’ve inserted the card correctly in card reader and plugged the card reader correctly into USB port of your computer. Then click on “Refresh” button and the card should show up without any problem.

3. Now you need to scan the card and let the software find deleted files and photos from your card. For that, you just need to click on “Start Scan” button. The software will start scanning the card and you should see activity in the card reader device. If your card reader has any kind of led to show the activity, that led with start blinking.

4. After starting scanning, in a few seconds, you’ll start seeing deleted files in “Found Items” panel. The software will show found items in particular categories. You can click on “Plus” sign in front of any category to show the detailed report. Just hover your mouse on any file and you will be able to see its preview. 5. Now its time to start recovery. Please note that software has not recovered any files as of yet but showed a list of files which are found on the media. Now you need to select the files you want to recover and start the recovery process.

To start recovering files from memory card, select the files you want to recover and click on “Recover” button. Please note that all the recovered files will be saved in the location which you see in “File Recovery Location” (located at bottom of the software). If you want to change the location, please click “Change Location” button accordingly.

 
That’s all. It is very easy to recover deleted photos from memory card provided you’ve the right software. Just make sure that you stop using the card once you realize that you need to recover data off it and use a reliable data recovery software as soon as possible.

When this happens and you’ve backup copy of the file, there is nothing to worry about since you can restore the file from the backup and you are again good to go. But, what If you deleted a important file from hard disk and don’t have its backup copy anywhere? In such type of instances, you will like you’ve lost the file forever, but you need to calm down as it is possible to recover deleted files from hard disk.

Below, you’ll find a step-by-step guide which will shed light on recording deleted files from hard disk. Please make sure that you take action as soon as you realize that you need to recover files. Please note that If you continue using your computer and keep writing newer files on hard disk, you are lessening the chances of recovering the file. Therefore, please pay attention to the followings :

1. You need to stop using the computer from where you want to recover files. This is because, using the computer and doing new things might overwrite the file you deleted.

2. Please make sure that you don’t install any new software on the computer and make modifications to existing products. This is to ensure that deleted file don’t get overwritten. Please keep in mind that once you delete a file and even empty the recycle bin, the file is not permanently deleted. The space which was occupied by the file is now marked free and the file is STILL recoverable provided you don’t write newer files on the same clusters where the previous file reside.

Please follow these steps to recover deleted files from Hard Disk :

3. Now its time to start the scan and let the software file the files you’ve deleted before. To start scanning, please click on “Start Scan” button. The software will start scanning the computer and will retrieve all the deleted files from the selected partition(s). It may take up-to 3-5 minutes before the scan is complete depending on the size of disk.

4. During scanning, the software will show you the found items in real time. On one hand, you’ll see the scanning recovery progress bar moving and on the other hand, you’ll the files which are recoverable. 5. You’ll see a “Plus” sign in front of the all the found items. You can click on that “Plus” sign to expand the list and see the real file names which has been found on hard disk. That’s all. The files will be recovered to location which is showed at the bottom of the software. Please see the above screenshot and see “File Recovery Location”. For this reason, I’m writing this step by step guide to help you recover deleted files from Recycle bin quickly and easily. You really don’t need to take your computer to data recovery experts and pay them huge sum of money to get your files restored. You can do this yourself at the comfort of your home/office without spending a fortune.

First of all, you don’t need to worry If the file you deleted was very important to you because It is still very likely that you’ll be able to get it back. I would suggest you to take some precautions so that you don’t lessen the chances of recovering the deleted files :

1. Stop using the computer from the moment you realize that you’ve deleted a file and it is not in the recycle bin either. This is to ensure that the space occupied by the deleted files don’t get overwritten.

2. Don’t write any new files on the partition (or Drive) from where you’ve deleted the file. Please note that when you deleted a file, that space is marked as free for future use but the file is still recoverable. If you write any new files on the disk, the space occupied by deleted file will be taken by the new file and hence the deleted file might not be recoverable. This happens in very less instances but you still need to be careful.

Now please follow these steps literally to recover deleted files from Recycle Bin :

1. First of all, please Download This Data Recovery Software and install it in your system. 2. On the main screen, you’ll see three options. Quick Scan, Advanced Scan and Guided Scan. Since, we are looking to get deleted files back from emptied recycle bin, you need to click on “Advanced” button. This is where, you’ll see the option of recovering recycle bin files. Now in the “Mounted Volume” panel where you see all the partitions (or drives) of your hard disk, you need to select the drive on which you’ve installed Windows Operating System. This is because normally, Recycle Bin folder is created on this drive. Though, If you are not sure, you can check all the partitions.

3. Now you need to click on “Start Scan” button and allow the software to perform a deep scan of  your hard disk clusters. This is where the software will find the deleted files and there is no way to do this manually. The software will start scanning the partition and you’ll see a progress bar indicating the progress. You may need to wait for a minute or two before the scan is complete.

4. During scanning, the software will find the deleted files and create a list of those files and categorize them automatically. This categorization just helps you find the file easily.
